Working alongside a HR Advisor your role is pivotal for the new GXO Logistics location in Almere, where we handle the logistics operation for Hunkemöller, we are looking for a proactive HR Administrator.

What your day looks like as a HR Administrator

  • Partner closely with Operations to provide practical, proactive HR guidance on policies, processes, and compliance — keeping leadership informed of any HR trends or changes that impact the site.
  • Create an outstanding first impression by delivering a smooth, welcoming onboarding and new‑hire experience.
  • Coach and support managers in confident, fair, and consistent people practices — including performance conversations and disciplinary processes for hourly colleagues.
  • Own HR administration with excellence, ensuring personnel files and documentation are accurate, compliant, up‑to‑date, and handled with complete confidentiality.
  • Work collaboratively with the Leave Administrator and site leadership to manage and track employee leave (including short‑term disability, workers’ comp, and personal leave) with care and accuracy.
  • Provide day‑to‑day coaching and support to managers and employees on policies, teamwork, communication, and workplace behaviours.
  • Champion a positive, engaging culture through regular on‑the‑floor presence and meaningful interactions with employees.
  • Lead talent activities across the site, including screening, hiring, onboarding, and developing new employees to ensure they add value quickly.
  • Drive GXO HR initiatives locally, ensuring consistency and supporting wider business goals.
  • Promote a safe working environment by following GXO H&S training, procedures, and standards — and actively contributing to site safety culture.
  • Support environmental responsibility by helping reduce resource usage and emissions and contributing to GXO’s sustainability initiatives.
  • Champion continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with legislation, GXO standards, and industry best practice while always seeking opportunities to enhance processes.

 

What do you need to be successful

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English, and basic Dutch
  • Educated to HR bachelor’s degree, or MBO with minimum of 1 years’ experience within HR
  • Experienced in MS packages word/PowerPoint/excel – system savvy to be able to deal with multiple HRIS workflows
