For one of our customer operations we are looking for a QESH Program Manager. Our customer is a Top 50 Fortune 500 company in the High Tech Industry that specializes in internet-related services and products, which include cloud computing, software, and hardware. As the QESH Program Manager you are the management representative and will implement, secure and continuously improve the management systems within an assigned area with a primary focus on Health Safety Environment and Quality compliance. This role allows you to make day-to-day/ operational decisions. All other need to be approved by QESH Global Accounts.

What you do on a typical day as a QESH Program Manager

  • Ensure compliance and maintenance to all Safety and Health legal regulations within the relevant area and region of responsibility.
  • Ensure Compliance and maintenance to the EU Safety Management System.
  • Monitoring compliance with the requirements governing the carriage of dangerous goods and advising the undertaking
  • Monitoring the practices and procedures of the undertaking regarding the activities associated with the transport of dangerous goods;
  • Ensure Compliance and maintenance to the applicable client safety requirements within the scope of your responsible area.
  • Maintain and regularly review the risk register per location of responsibility.
  • Improve and maintain the control and mitigation measures allocated to the site specific risks.
  • Create and maintain an annual tactical safety plan derived from the Global Safety Plan on how to meet the expected KPIś and OKRs set per quarter.
  • Give regular feedback on the progress of the plan,challenges and plan to overcome these challenges.
  • Coordinate, review, approve and submit QESH monthly reporting.
  • Coordinate, represent and attend all monthly internal and external QESH meetings with stakeholders relevant to your scope of responsibility.
  • Support, guide, mentor and coordinate the Safety Leads to be able to implement the
  • Tactical Safety Plan in their locations of responsibility.
  • Manage Coordinate review, approve and submit QESH incident reporting in line with GXO and specific client KPI and procedures/methodologies/ templates provided.
  • Manage the closure of actions and monitor the successful outcome of actions taken to  prevent similar incidents.
  • Develop and improvement projects based on trend analysis for your site of responsibility in line with the Global Safety Initiatives within the EU Safety Management System.
  • Demonstrate the value add for these initiatives via reporting on the trend analysis and the plan to sustain these initiatives at your site of responsibility.
  • Manage the Safety Management of Change for your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure consistency per site of responsibility to the EU Safety Management System.
  • Conduct regular audits to prove consistent implementation,sustainability,gaps and opportunities to improve.
  • Guide and support the Safety Leads to increase and improve the safety culture per site via clear communication and the use of communication tools as provided by the EU Safety Management System.
  • Maintain a good relationship with the site specific manager. Improve,support the relationship within the scope of safety where required.
  • Guide, lead and encourage the leadership safety participation on the sites of your  responsibility in line with the EU Safety Management System leadership KPIś.
  • Assist and accommodate external auditors with safety audits in your area of responsibility.
  • Maintain as far as reasonably possible a zero recordable accident site status of your area of responsibility.


What you need to succeed at GXO

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety and/or,
  • NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Minimum of 8 years safety management experience in a complex and multidimensional organization.
