Co-op is the UK’s fifth biggest food retailer with a strong focus on delivering the best possible service to our customers. We are seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our team on the day shift. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and dedication to delivering exceptional service.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on a shift pattern of 'any 5 days out of 7', contracted to 48 hours per week. You can choose start times between 4am and 7am or 7am and 10pm - whatever suits you best!

What you will do on a typical day:

 

  • Delivering stock in roll cages to stores on a multi-drop or trunking basis
  • Providing an efficient and supportive delivery service by helping to offload stock into stores and collect any waste for return to the site
  • Conducting vehicle checks before and after each shift, ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy
  • Completing all paperwork accurately and on time
  • Ensuring compliance with all tachograph regulations

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Hold a valid UK Driving licence with Category C (Class 2)
  • Less than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
  • An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with driving regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative
