Are you ready to lead in a dynamic, high-impact logistics environment? As Operations Manager at GXO Logistics Zellik, you’ll play a key role in driving day-to-day excellence across our large-scale cold chain site. With a team of 90 - 100 employees and a complex multi-customer environment, this is your opportunity to lead, coach, and continuously improve operations in a fast-paced, international setting.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Drive operational performance, safety culture, and continuous improvement using LEAN methodologies.
  • Manage and coach teams while fostering a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
  • Engage in social dialogue and represent GXO in union discussions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new processes and start-up activities.
  • Monitor KPI performance and customer metrics acting decisively when targets are at risk.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies and legal standards, from staffing to safety.
  • Oversee scheduling, training, and upskilling of staff across multiple shifts and departments.
  • Build long-term relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Promote environmental responsibility across all operations.
  • Own operational budgets and cost performance, ensuring efficiency and productivity gains.
  • Use data and system insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead change and transformation projects, including process optimization and automation.
  • Develop talent and succession pipelines, building future operational leaders.
  • Manage peak periods and operational disruptions with resilience and decisive leadership

 

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably on complex, multi-customer sites.
  • Leadership expertise in people management, coaching, and driving high-performance teams.
  • Experience operating in a cold chain environment (-22°C is no problem for you!).
  • Skilled in union and social dialogue with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluent in French, Dutch, and English.
  • A hands-on mindset with resilience and flexibility to manage challenges and change.
