- Leading a team of 10 FTE within an operational role - planners, Inventory controllers, trainers etc
- Ability to bring a project to life and implement
- Focus on Quality, Lean Methodology, with continuous and process improvements
- The site is -22 degrees environment, but we will keep you warm and comfortable whilst in frozen warehouse!
- Ability to cover 2 shifts - Monday – Friday 6.00 – 14.00 or 14.00 – 22.00hr rotating shifts, plus flexibility for Saturday morning 6.00 – 12.00hr.
- Fluency in Dutch, French both verbal and written, basic communication in English.
Your role as an Operational Support Supervisor
- Supporting the operational team offering work instructions, training when implementing new procedures ensuring understanding of new work practices.
- Managing new startups and existing teams, supporting staff gaining trust, relationships management and trust.
- Partner with key functional groups that are part of implementation (HR, IT, Operations, etc.) to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and provide data inputs for those groups where required.
- Provide tools to site team to track and report on established Key Performance Indicators.
- Provide labor planning tool tailored to the client’s business and agreed upon operating processes.
- Identify and procure all necessary capital expense items to support successful launch of operation.
- Secure that logistic requirements are met in product design, supply chain developments and related quality performance.
- Secure availability of accurate implementation plans for engineering changes and challenge the project on timing and supply chain impact. Monitor proper execution of this implementation plan.
- Support Project leaders in managing product critical path within the boundaries of the triple constraint (quality, timing, cost).
- Drive the preparation of supply chain and report progress for new, revised and phase down parts.
- Define and execute projects to drive the preparation within the sector.
- Manage phase down of products in supply chain in cross sector product team.
- Work safely as per GXO Health & Safety trainings, standards, procedures and processes and actively contribute to a safer work environment for colleagues and visitors.
- Contribution to structural reduction of negative environmental impact from usage of natural resources (a/o energy, water, fuel) and from emissions (waste, carbon) and to contribute to environmental performance initiatives.
- Adhere to applicable legal requirements, GXO and industry standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you need to succeed at GXO as an Operational Support Supervisor
- Broad experience in the field of Supply Chain, logistics environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience a complex and multidimensional organisation.
- Previous experience of leading a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienced in LEAN methodology, focus on Quality
- Ability to implement Continuous and Process improvement
- Strong communication skills, fluency in French and Dutch with conversational English
