Want to be part of our multi-user warehouse, we are looking for a proactive Supervisor in Zellik, Belgium.
We are in search of a natural leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and loves driving team performance. You will be hands on, solution-orientated and ability to inspire people!
- You will be supporting a team of 4-5 Team leader and 80-100 indirect employees
- The site is -22 degrees environment, but we will keep you warm and comfortable!
- Ability to cover 2 shifts between Monday - Saturday rotational
Monday – Friday 6.00 – 14.00 + 14.00 – 22.00
Saturday morning rotational working
(one day working from home Friday or Monday shift dependant)
- Fluency in Dutch, French both verbal and written, communication in English
- Ability to liaise with Unions
Your role as a supervisor
- Responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the department with particular emphasis on managing warehouse associates.
- Establish and maintain procedures for meeting company and customer commitments.
- Train, motivate and lead within area of responsibility.
- Facilitate conflict resolution.
- Liaising with agencies and workforce planning.
- Overseeing and accountability for performance shortfalls – develop corrective action plans when performance falls below target.
- Assigns duties and monitors work completion for accuracy.
- Maintains a safe work environment and fosters a positive team dynamic, resolving employee relations issues and administering corrective action as required.
- Responsible for achieving customer metrics (quality and responsiveness).
- Implement and coach Lean Warehousing System and processes.
- Lead (daily) start-up activities with cross functional teams.
- Daily interaction with internal and external customer is required.
- Work safely as per GXO Health & Safety trainings, standards, procedures and processes and actively contribute to a safer work environment for colleagues and visitors.
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Experience of leading a team within a warehousing/distribution or production environment, understanding the picking and processing duties.
- Fluent Dutch and French, both orally and in writing; Good knowledge of English.
- A proactive, hands-on working style and the ability to support teams effectively
- Experience with WMS systems and process optimization is a plus; affinity with IT is essential
