Join GXO as a Multiskilled Automation Engineer at our Avonmouth site supporting the Amazon contract. You'll maintain and improve a highly automated operation featuring roller conveyor networks and Intralox sorter technology, helping to maximise reliability, performance and uptime. From preventative maintenance and fault finding to continuous improvement projects, you'll play a key role in keeping the operation running safely and efficiently. This is a full time, permanent, position. Working hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 till 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance to keep automated equipment operating safely and efficiently
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control system faults to minimise downtime
- Complete maintenance records, reports and documentation using the site CMMS system
- Support continuous improvement projects, equipment upgrades and engineering initiatives across the site
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 18th Edition Electrical certification, plus IOSH managing safely
- Experience working in an automated engineering, manufacturing, logistics or maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, with a pro-active approach to problem solving
- A safety-first mindset with the ability to work independently, manage priorities and drive continuous improvement
