Stock Operative

Are you detail‑driven, confident with data, and ready to play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy? We’re looking for a Stock Administrator to support our warehouse operations by ensuring stock records are precise, up to date, and aligned with physical inventory.

 

In this important role, you’ll help reduce losses, enhance stock control, and contribute to efficient warehouse performance.

 

This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday covering the hours between 8:00 and 16:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies, shortages, and overages to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Monitoring damaged, obsolete, slow‑moving, and fast‑moving stock, providing clear data insights to support decision‑making
  • Reviewing and analysing weekly error reports generated by warehouse operatives
  • Producing accurate, timely stock reports for operational teams
  • Supporting stock‑related audits on the warehouse floor
  • Assisting with stock counts when required

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Confident user of Excel with strong data‑handling skills
  • Comfortable working with computer systems and digital tools
  • Highly organised with excellent time‑management abilities
  • Strong numerical skills and confidence working with data
  • Knowledge of stock counting or inventory checking processes is beneficial
