Stock Controller

At GXO, we’re looking for a reliable and detail‑driven Stock Controller (ICQA Counter) to join our Amazon team in Avonmouth. In this key role, you’ll help maintain stock integrity, ensure inventory accuracy, and support the smooth operation of a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
This is a full-time, permanent day shift role on a 3 on/3 off pattern from 06:00 to 18:00.
Plus, you’ll enjoy 25 Saturdays, 26 Sundays, and 17 full weekends off each year—giving you a rare and valuable work–life balance.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Carry out cycle counts, audits, and stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy
- Keep accurate, up‑to‑date records of counts, adjustments, and corrective actions in the WMS
- Investigate stock variances and support corrective actions to protect stock integrity
- Communicate discrepancies, results, and follow‑up actions to Operations and Inventory Control
- Operate HLOP MHE (training provided) to work safely at height and access all racking
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring stock issues
- Work safely at all times, following ICQA, quality, and site procedures
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Familiarity with WMS and basic inventory processes
- Comfortable prioritising tasks and maintaining focus during demanding periods
- Clear communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, retail, or manufacturing environments
