Warehouse Team Leader (Part-time)

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our BAE Systems contract based in Blackburn. As a Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Team Manager to ensure an effective warehouse operation that meets key performance indicators and exceeds customer expectations. You’ll lead a team of Multi-Task Operatives (MTOs), driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement in a secure and safety-focused environment.

 

This is a part-time, permanent position. You’ll work Thursday & Friday, covering the hours of 14:15 till 00:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £15,712.23 per annum and 13 days annual leave (including bank holidays). Your benefits include a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance, and death in service. 

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Motivate and manage your team to achieve and exceed performance objectives
  • Ensure efficient operations across goods in, packing, kitting, goods out, loading, and unloading
  • Maintain stock accuracy and integrity to contractual levels
  • Drive Health & Safety compliance through proactive risk assessments and team engagement
  • Monitor performance, attendance, and training needs, ensuring a skilled and flexible workforce
  • Support disciplinary and grievance processes when required

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Proven leadership and team management experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, “can-do” attitude
  • PC literacy with good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility regarding shift patterns
  • You MUST be able to obtain Full SC Level Security Clearance with no restrictions
