Stock Control Operative

Here at GXO Banbury we are recruiting for a Stock Control Operative to join our team, supporting our customer, The Entertainer.

 

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on a ‘any 5 days from 6’ pattern excluding Sundays, covering the hours of 15:30 to 00:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Handle Goods In by unloading trailers, checking stock is correct and undamaged, and making sure everything is recorded properly and put away in the right place
  • Carry out picking, replenishment, and loading tasks using RF guns and MHE (where needed), meeting daily targets and ensuring all stock is stacked, secured, and loaded correctly
  • Support daily stock control by completing counts, investigating issues, keeping spreadsheets and records up to date, and following all stock procedures
  • Work with the warehouse team to answer customer queries, support stock takes, report defects, and follow site rules and Health & Safety at all times

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience working in a warehouse environment, including using RF scanners and following basic stock or inventory processes (training provided if needed)
  • Ability to work safely as part of a team, and confident handling manual tasks, equipment, and materials
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills to complete paperwork, update records, and read or respond to work instructions and emails
  • Good awareness of Health & Safety requirements, including safe manual handling and working around MHE, vehicles, and potentially hazardous materials
