Finance Administrator

We are looking for a Finance Administrator to join our ASOS site in Barnsley. As a Finance Administrator, you’ll provide day‑to‑day financial administrative support to the Assistant Finance Manager and the wider commercial/finance team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accurate information, timely reporting and efficient processes, helping to deliver a reliable finance service to the site, colleagues and clients.
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Ensure all financial processes, reports and records are completed accurately and on time
- Raise sales invoices, purchase orders and ad‑hoc/manual payments, managing queries through to payment
- Complete month‑end tasks including reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments with full audit backup
- Manage supplier setup, payment terms and documentation via Docusign, resolving supplier queries promptly
- Monitor costs, maintain accurate ledger records and support cost control across the site
- Build strong working relationships and provide financial guidance and support to site teams, customers and suppliers
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Highly organised with the ability to work accurately to strict deadlines and maintain excellent attention to detail
- High integrity with a continuous improvement mindset and strong commercial awareness
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders and build customer relationships
- Positive, enthusiastic team player with a proactive, can‑do attitude (experience with SAP Finance and Coupa desirable but not essential)
