First Line Manager (Nights)

We are looking for an Outbound First Line Manager to join one of our biggest online fashion retailers’ sites in Barnsley. You lead a team of people and coordinate activities to achieve business goals through focussing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position. You’ll be working Tuesday to Saturday, covering the hours of 22:45 till 07:15.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £34,091.20 per annum and 29 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Manage the allocation of work on a daily basis, controlling headcount and overtime budgets and ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets are met
  • Monitor team absence and performance, taking action where necessary
  • Work alongside the site quality team to ensure metrics (KPI) and team are managed in line with the site SLA’s
  • Manage your team’s DCPM effectively to meet or exceed site requirements, and providing weekly DCPM reports to line manager

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience of working in a complex, fast-moving logistics/warehouse environment, ideally within eCommerce
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, whilst effectively leading a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end warehouse processes, health and safety and IOSH is highly desirable
