We are currently looking for a HR Manager has strong operational background to join us at ASOS in Barnsley to lead on the delivery of a holistic and integrated HR service, with a primary focus on supporting the delivery of a comprehensive People Plan, aligned to site and GXO HR objectives.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Supporting the HR Manager with gathering information for Employment Tribunal cases to providing witness orientation sessions to witnesses in order to guide them on what might be involved during a Tribunal process

  • Proactively review ER trends, work in partnership with the HR Team and identify ER solutions that will continuously improve the management of ER challenges across the business

  • Support the establishment of the required leadership standards and capability at all levels of the business via leadership development; management training; succession planning etc

  • Ensure full succession and Talent mapping is undertaken by Operational Managers across the Site

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience in an HR Advisor or ER specialist role, and/or HR operational experience in a fast-paced environment, with proven employee relations expertise

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR Policy, practice, employee relations & change management approaches

  • Excellent communicator across several boundaries and the ability to build rapport with key stakeholders

  • The ability to effectively manage a team consisting or both direct and indirect reports
