We’re looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join us at our ASOS site in Barnsley working Tuesday – Saturday hours 13:30 – 22:00. You’ll lead the Operations team to deliver a first-class customer service.

We’re looking to offer a salary up to £54,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 264 hours annual leave (including bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Management and coaching of your direct reports and an indirect team of up to 700 staff in peak

  • Be responsible for ensuring team exceed KPIs and performance set by the customer, as well as driving improvement plans for further growth and capability

  • Drive health and safety and a continuous improvement culture throughout the site and ensure that your team is working in a compliant and safe manner

  • Ensure that through the effective control of resources all operational deadlines and standards within area of responsibility are met

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • A proven track record of managing a large team in a fast-paced warehouse environment, ideally within eCommerce with automation experience

  • The ability to coach, lead and develop a large, diverse team through a professional manner with a can-do attitude

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively build relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • General confidence in the use of IT/Microsoft Office and WMS systems
