HR Advisor, 4 Month FTC

Join us as our HR Advisor on a 4 Month FTC, supporting our Sainsburys Argos customer in Basildon.

This is a full time, 4-month FTC opportunity working Monday to Friday (flexible between the hours of 8.00 to 17.00).

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,303.42 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Provide high‑quality HR advice and comprehensive generalist People support
  • Manage the full ER caseload, ensuring efficient guidance aligned with legislation and company policies
  • Build strong, credible relationships across the organisation, influencing managers to adopt best‑practice approaches
  • Support managers in interpreting and applying company policies, procedures, and local agreements
  • Contribute to delivering the annual People plan, including MI analysis and coaching to support management development

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Demonstrable experience providing pragmatic, tailored HR advice, including strong ER expertise and solid knowledge of UK employment law (CIPD Level 3 or above beneficial)
  • Skilled in supporting managers through a range of employee relations issues with confidence and professionalism
  • Strong IT proficiency across Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to compile and interpret People‑related data
  • Proactive, collaborative and objective, with excellent interpersonal skills and a natural ability to solve problems and work effectively with others
