Team Leader (Nights)

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Team Leader to join our Sainsbury’s contract in Basingstoke. You’ll be at the centre of our warehouse operations, supporting the Shift Manager and leading your team to deliver exceptional service. You’ll ensure compliance, drive performance, and foster a positive working environment.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position. You’ll be working on a ‘4 on 4 off’ basis, covering the hours of 18:00 till 06:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £39,517.24 per annum and 22 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Lead and manage shift operations, ensuring compliance with company and legal standards
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management of colleagues
  • Maintain operational systems and ensure smooth shift handovers
  • Drive team morale and customer service excellence through effective communication

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse, logistics, or production environment
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to coach, train, and resolve conflict effectively
  • A proactive mindset and solid decision-making skills
  • Flexibility to cover shifts and support operational needs
