Assistant Site Manager

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join our team in Blyth (S81 8PU), supporting our customer B&Q. As an Assistant Site Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring effective management of the outbound and inbound operation, ensuring operational and budgetary targets are met, stock accuracy and product availability in line with the customer requirements.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 from 7 rotating shift pattern of 06:00 till 14:00 and 14:00 till 22:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Day to day management of the operation, taking responsibility for all aspects of staff performance, including accuracy and process compliance
  • Identify areas of improvement within the relevant operational processes and manage operational constraints in partnership with the customer and GXO senior teams
  • Conduct regular reviews of training plans and SOPs to ensure they are fit for purpose and any refresher training is identified and planned for
  • Support the labour strategy by identifying flexible working options, promoting the campus solution and linking into local employment groups

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Holder of IOSH Managing Safely Qualification will be advantageous
  • Previous experience and knowledge of inbound and or outbound operations, processes and WMS systems
  • Capability to formulate and implement ideas while always demonstrating a CI attitude at all times
  • To have experience with KPI and budgetary management
