We are currently searching for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our team at our site in Bedford. You will lead a team and coordinate activities to achieve business goals by focusing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a Sunday to Thursday shift pattern, covering the hours of 14:00 – 22:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

You’ll operate as a working team member and conduct tasks in all areas of the warehouse

Ensure that they and individuals within their team comply with working practices that result in delivering a clean and safe workplace

Providing focus on health & safety, productivity, accuracy, and quality by helping to lead the operational shift team by encouraging a team ethic to achieve daily targets for each shift

Monitor progress and performance against key performance indicators and costs against budget
What you need to succeed at GXO:

Knowledge of the end-to-end warehouse processes and health and safety

Experience working in a complex, fast-moving logistics/warehouse environment

The ability to work on your own initiative, whilst effectively leading a team

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
