2nd shift: M-F, 3:00pm - midnight. 

As the Safety Coordinator, you will support the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program by helping to promote a safe and compliant work environment across all operations. You will conduct audits, investigations, training, and safety program activities while partnering with Operations leaders and frontline employees to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. What you’ll do on a typical day:  

  • Partner closely with Operations leaders and frontline employees to ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and customer requirements while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the facility. 

  • Conduct audits, investigations, training, and safety program administration activities to reduce risk, prevent injuries, and drive continuous improvement. 

  • Deliver safety orientations, PIT training support, refresher training, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety communications for associates and leaders. 

  • Maintain EHS records, safety metrics, incident documentation, training records, SDS documentation, regulatory records, and required reports. 

  • Partner with Operations leaders to identify hazards, implement corrective actions, conduct risk assessments, and support continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Support emergency preparedness activities, emergency response teams, evacuation drills, and first aid program administration. 

  • Participate in customer audits, corporate EHS initiatives, regulatory inspections, and special projects as assigned by the Safety Manager. 

What you need to succeed at GXO:  

At a minimum, you’ll need:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 

  • 2+ years of experience in Safety, EHS, Loss Prevention, Operations, or a related field 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook 

  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and safety training 

  • Experience working in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or eCommerce environments 

It’d be great if you also have:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, or a related field  

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification  

  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification  

  • PIT Trainer Certification or the ability to obtain certification  

  • Experience working with behavior-based safety programs and incident investigation methodologies 

  • Experience with conveyor systems, automation, PIT equipment, and powered industrial truck operations 

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
