To support our presence in Czech Republic, we are looking for a Health & Safety Leader to join our team in Bor or Hustopeče.
What you do on a typical day
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the site's Health, Safety & Environmental management systems
- Partner with leadership and regional teams to align HSE strategy with operational goals, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal standards
- Conduct internal audits and manage external audits
- Act as a local subject matter expert for occupational health, fire protection, environmental compliance, and machinery safety
- Deliver training sessions and safety briefings across all levels of the organization
- Analyze incidents, conduct root cause investigations, drive corrective and preventive actions and lead risk assessments for new processes, equipment, and workplace setups
- Prepare HSE documentation, reports, metrics, and statistics for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with international teams to standardize safety practices and support leadership in driving employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Proven experience in a similar position within the area of health & safety accompanied by a valid certification (OZO)
- Knowledge of policies, procedures and good practices in the field of health and safety at work
- Deep knowledge of ISO standards, and risk management practices
- HACCP certification is a big advantage
- Fluent Czech and very good command of English or Polish
