Continuous Improvement Team Manager

Here at GXO Logistics, we’re looking for a Continuous Improvement Team Manager to join our team at M&S Clothing and Home in Bradford. You’ll play a key role in delivering CI projects, supporting operational teams, and promoting a culture of improvement across the site. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and influence positive change in a fast-paced environment.
The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work Monday to Friday, although some flexibility may be required during peak times – this is logistics after all!

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £35,000 per annum, you’ll also receive 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Deliver 3–4 medium-scale CI projects per year (£10k–£15k savings)
- Support operations and support functions with their own improvement projects
- Lead and take accountability for the Tactical Idea Generation Programme
- Hold CI forums to promote understanding and engagement with continuous improvement
- Work with finance to track assumptions, trial results and actual savings for gainshare reporting
- Develop and maintain process maps and implement visual workplace standards including 5S
- Mentor CI trainees and support hands-on project delivery
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in a continuous improvement or operational excellence role, at a management level within logistics, distribution or supply chain
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies (Yellow Belt or higher)
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to analyse data and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Understanding of P&L and how KPIs impact profitability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and WMS systems
