HR Advisor

A fantastic opportunity has come up with our M&S Fashion, Home & Beauty operation in Bradford. We are seeking a talented and passionate individual for the position of HR Advisor. Working closely with the site HR leadership team, you’ll provide pragmatic, commercially‑minded HR advice, supporting effective people management while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policy.
This is a full time, 6-month fixed term contract position. Working hours for this role would need to be flexible, however predominantly Monday to Friday, working 37.5 hours per week.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Day-to-day you will provide professional, consistent HR advice and coaching to managers on policy and people matters
- Support leaders to manage employee relations casework, ensuring fair, timely and compliant outcomes
- Promote the correct and consistent application of company policies and procedures across site
- Support the HR Manager with the design and delivery of HR‑related training for managers, including absence, performance, disciplinary and recruitment processes
- Maintain accurate HR metrics and reporting, providing clear analysis and insight
- Work effectively with key stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Payroll, L&D and Health & Safety
- Build strong working relationships with customer and internal teams to support operational requirements
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in a similar HR Advisory role, ideally with a minimum of CIPD level 3
- If you’re from a warehousing or logistics background this would be a huge plus, although we’ll consider applicants from other fast-paced environments
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
- A calm, professional approach with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a practical, solution‑focused mindset
