Operations Manager

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our flagship M&S Clothing & Home site in Bradford. You’ll be responsible for delivering operational excellence in efficiency, quality and cost for your area and team, through the development of people, processes, facilities, and deployment of best practices.
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working on the nights rotation (19:00 - 07:00). Our team align to a short week, long week working pattern, 12-hour shifts, averaging a 3.5 working days per week.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £53,000.00 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Ensure all operational activities are executed efficiently, meeting daily performance and service level targets by monitoring and tracking order fulfilment processes, including picking, packing, and shipping, to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Supervise and motivate your Team Managers, ensuring alignment with Cost and Service Kpis and SLAs are achieved
- Provide training and coaching to staff on process improvements, quality standards, and safety practices
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality and customer satisfaction
- Support the culture of continuous improvement, ensuring your managers are working on improvement projects and delivering change outside of peak
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a similar role within warehouse operations, preferably in an Ecommerce environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a team
- Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and data analytics tools
