Here at GXO Logistics, we’re recruiting a Senior Planning Analyst to join our B&Q central planning team in Branston. This is a key role, helping to enhance and continually improve planning performance across multiple home delivery networks through robust data analysis, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

 

The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, working on an ‘any 5 from 7’ shift pattern (typically Monday to Friday) between 08:00 and 18:00. Flexibility will be required in peak times; this is logistics after all!

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £37,281 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Analyse volume forecasts and calculate resource requirements to support operational delivery
  • Oversee data capture, reporting accuracy and order lead times within agreed limits
  • Produce and enhance KPI reporting for senior management and the customer
  • Identify performance trends, risks and improvement opportunities, presenting clear recommendations
  • Support the development of planning processes, systems and reporting suites
  • Present complex data to non‑technical stakeholders with confidence
  • Take a proactive, solution‑driven approach to seasonal change and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support projects and deputise for functional leads where required

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Strong analytical experience within a planning, logistics or operational environment
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, Power Platform, Python and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with routing, scheduling, transport management or telematics systems
  • Proven ability to turn insight into meaningful strategic and operational change
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence presenting to a wide range of audiences
  • A detail‑focused, proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge data and processes
