Stock & Systems Team Leader

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Stock & systems Team Leader to lead a team of Multitask Operatives, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations that support the HPC build.
At Hinkley Point C, we’re building two new nuclear reactors – the first in a new generation of power stations delivering zero-carbon electricity to six million homes. As a Tier One partner to Nuclear New Build (NNB), we provide essential warehousing and transportation services.
This is a full-time permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 08:00 till 16:00. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £38,500 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). A company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and death in service.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and motivate a team of Multitask Operatives to deliver daily warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound activity and inventory management.
- Allocate workloads effectively to ensure smooth and timely order fulfilment.
- Be a visible leader on the warehouse floor, promoting a safety-first culture and leading by example.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve operational issues and maintain seamless processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety standards.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in warehouse operations and team leadership.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Basic IT skills (MS Office) and willingness to undertake safety-related training (e.g., Fire Marshal, Incident Controller).
- A proactive, safety-focused mindset with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory frameworks.
- Desirable: MHE experience, driving licence, and CITB Operatives or equivalent certification.
