Class 2 Driver

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic team in Avonmouth. You will be delivering barrels and cases of drinks to pub cellars, working alongside a supportive driver’s mate. If you enjoy staying active, being on the move, and contributing to an essential service, this is the perfect role for you. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering 46 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts starting between 06:00 and 07:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Deliver barrels and cases of drinks to pub cellars, averaging 9 drops per day, while working closely with a driver’s mate to ensure efficient and timely deliveries
- Conduct vehicle checks, including opening curtain siders and inner curtains to prepare for smooth unloading
- Unload barrels from the vehicle and place them onto a mat for secure handling
- Roping and lowering barrels into cellars, ensuring safe and accurate placement
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Hold a valid Class 2 licence
- Less than 6 points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
- An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
- Comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including heavy lifting
- Commitment to safety and compliance with driving regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative
