Continuous Improvement Specialist

We’re looking for a Continuous Improvement Lead to join our GXO operation supporting Mountain Warehouse in Peterborough. In this role, you’ll support the CI Manager in delivering improvement projects, coaching teams in CI tools and helping embed a culture of operational excellence across the site.
This is a full‑time, permanent position, working any 5 days from 7, predominantly Monday–Friday (37.5 hours per week), from 8 to 4, flexibility required.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Support and deliver continuous improvement initiatives—including Kaizen events, problem‑solving workshops and tactical improvements—to meet site and customer goals
- Conduct process analysis, observations and data reviews to identify waste, inefficiencies and opportunities for improved productivity, accuracy and service
- Coach and support operational teams in Lean and CI tools, helping build skills, confidence and engagement across the site
- Lead or support documentation improvements, standardisation of best practice and the ongoing maintenance of the CI project pipeline
- Collaborate with site managers, team leaders and cross‑functional departments to ensure CI activity aligns with operational priorities and customer expectations
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience within logistics, supply chain or e‑commerce operations
- Knowledge or exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence others and facilitate workshops
- Organised, proactive and motivated, with a genuine passion for continuous improvement
