Inventory Team Leader

We are looking for a Inventory Team Leader to join our multiuser site in Peterborough. You will operate as a working team member and conduct tasks in all areas of the warehouse. You will assist in leading the Inventory team and being at the forefront of the operations, ensuring that KPIs and SLAs are met daily.
This is a full-time, permanent position working any 5 days out of 7, covering the hours of 2pm - 10pm

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Manage, motivate, and train the stock admin team and warehouse operatives to ensure competency in assigned tasks.
- Ability to achieve the required standards of performance and meet customer & operational demands.
- To work as part of a Team, as well as on your own initiative, to achieve the success of the operational function.
- Must be decisive to make operational decisions and update the Senior Team. • The ability to work accurately, with good attention to detail, and be able to develop recommendations •
- Excellent organisational and reporting skills in order to manage day to day activity and requirements
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- The ability to work on your own initiative, whilst effectively leading a team
- Experience in conducting audits, cycle counts, and stock investigations in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interrogate systems and provide meaningful insights.
