Learning and Development Manager

At GXO, we’re looking for a Learning & Development Manager to shape the future of training and development at our M&S Outlet site in Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the site’s L&D strategy, drive innovation, and support the growth of our people from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering tailored training programmes across all levels, from frontline colleagues to senior leaders, ensuring compliance, capability, and career progression are at the heart of everything we do.
This is a full time, permanent position where you’ll work Monday to Friday. However, you will need to be flexible on occasion – this is logistics after all!

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £52,780 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead the development and implementation of training plans that support operational excellence and colleague growth
- Create cross-training programmes to build flexibility and future-proof our workforce
- Audit and refresh training content to ensure compliance and consistency
- Design a management training suite to support junior and middle managers, helping reduce attrition and boost engagement
- Support the development of the on-site training team to deliver engaging, workshop-style sessions
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience within a similar L&D role of design, delivery and evaluation, with an understanding of workplace learning principles
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in delivering training at all levels
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience managing large datasets
- Experience in designing long-term, multi-layered training plans with clear roadmaps
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent)
