Repair Team Leader

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Repair Team Leader to support the repair shop on site in Peterborough, supporting our customer Mountain Warehouse. As a Team Leader you will support the First Line Manager and Shift Manager by reporting hourly and daily productivity performance using Microsoft applications while managing workflow throughout the shift, communicating timely operational updates to warehouse colleagues and monitor staffing levels.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, working an any 5 from 7 rota with the hours of 22:00 till 06:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Lead by example in promoting and complying with Health & Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for all
  • Delivers daily team briefings to ensure colleagues are aligned on operational priorities and business expectation
  • Make clear and timely operational decisions, providing updates to the Senior Leadership Team as required
  • Ensuring all individuals have the right skills to do their jobs effectively and where skills gaps are identified ensuring training is organised to meet operational requirements and effective job satisfaction of colleagues

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience working within a repairing or re-sell warehouse enviroment would be an advantage
  • Demonstrate reliability with strong timekeeping and attendance
  • Experience in leading a team in a fast paced warehouse
