Health & Safety Advisor
Are you a confident Health and Safety Advisor who can go beyond compliance, acting as a visible presence on site to influence behaviours, challenge decisions, and embed a proactive safety culture as part of our values?
Here at GXO, we are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our M&S site in Daventry. In this role, you will be part of a QHSE team delivering essential support services across site, ensuring compliance with all quality, safety, health, and environmental standards. You’ll play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, conducting audits and risk assessments, supporting investigations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance. Working closely with operational teams, you’ll help maintain the high standards of service and efficiency that underpin GXO’s long-standing partnership with M&S
This is a full-time permanent role working any 5 from 7 – 08:00 to 16:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Support the QHSE Manager with health and safety, including audits, fire safety, and incident reporting
- Deliver safety training and promote a strong, compliant safety culture across site
- Maintain and improve QHSE systems, ensuring KPIs, reports, and records are up to date
- Act as a key contact for facilities and maintenance, coordinating repairs and upkeep with contractors
- Manage contractor processes (RAMS, permits) and support QHSE meetings, documentation, and compliance activities
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlines effectively
- High attention to detail, producing accurate and consistent work
- Proactive approach with the ability to identify and escalate potential issues
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook) in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in health & safety (accident investigation, risk management) with NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification
