Here at GXO, our Business Intelligence Developers sit at the heart of how the business understands and uses data. Working within our Group BI team, you’ll help transform data from multiple sources into meaningful, actionable insights. From shaping data architecture, to building semantic models, to developing clean, insightful dashboards, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring teams across our organisation have the information they need to make smart decisions.
This is a full-time permanent position offering hybrid working with travel to various sites. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000, depending on experience and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Build and maintain BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and visualisations using Power BI and related tools
- Work closely with Data Engineers and subject matter experts to design and optimise data architecture across Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SQL and Python-based workflows
- Translate business needs into user stories and BI requirements, collaborating with stakeholders across functions
- Create, refine and maintain semantic models, data dictionaries, and reusable data assets that support consistent and scalable analytics
- Troubleshoot BI issues, support end users, and ensure reporting remains accurate, secure, and aligned with data governance best practices
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in BI development, with strong hands-on capability in Power BI Desktop/Service or similar BI tools
- Solid technical foundation in SQL or Python, and an understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, medallion architectures, or data warehousing concepts
- Ability to communicate complex ideas simply, working effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- A proactive, curious mindset with strong problem‑solving skills and high attention to detail
- A collaborative approach, with the confidence to challenge, influence, and support teams in adopting BI best practices
