Senior Invoicing & Revenue SME - 18 month FTC

Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Senior Invoicing & Revenue SME within our Central Invoicing team, supporting the legacy Wincanton business on an 18-month FTC basis.

 

You’ll help lead a team of colleagues plus offshore team members, taking responsibility for planning workloads, resolving escalations, producing reporting and supporting continuous improvement. With a strong, team in place, this role offers the chance to build on solid foundations and make a real impact.

 

This is an 18-month fixed term contract. The role is hybrid, with a requirement to work in our Chippenham office on a Tuesday & Wednesday each week. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00. However, some flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

 

Pay, benefits and more:

 

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000, depending on experience and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Supporting weekly workload planning, ensuring cover during absences and helping the team deliver to agreed service levels
  • Acting as an escalation point for invoice queries from internal customers, management, Finance Business Partners and offshore colleagues
  • Creating and maintaining legacy revenue files for the construction operation, raising and uploading invoices via customer portals
  • Producing monthly reporting including KPI packs and SOX control documentation
  • Getting involved in projects and ad‑hoc tasks, such as onboarding new customers and supporting process improvements

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Strong Excel capability and confidence working with customer portals; Oracle experience is highly desirable
  • Experience in transport, warehousing or haulage operations, with solid knowledge of invoicing and query resolution
  • Ability to guide others, provide support to offshore teams and act as an approachable subject‑matter expert
  • Proven analytical thinking, attention to detail and a drive to streamline and improve processes
  • Organised, proactive and calm under pressure, someone who communicates well, solves problems quickly and champions team delivery
