Maintenance Technician

Here at GXO, we’re currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join us on our multi-temperature Iceland site in Swindon. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that day-to-day tasks around the site’s facilities are completed and that all repairs are carried out in a compliant, timely and cost-effective manner.
This is a full time, permanent position and you’ll be working rotating shifts of 7:00 – 15:00 and 11:00 – 19:00 however given this is a 24/7 site, there will be the expectation of some flexibility – this is logistics after all.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance schedules.
- Effective upkeep and performance of mechanical and electrical equipment up to employee trained competency level.
- Be responsible for fault finding, repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Oversee all site, customer, company and legal requirements to be met by a good level of knowledge and application of all policies and procedures.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- 2 years working in facilities or engineering environment.
- City and Guilds 18th Edition qualification is essential (16th or 17th likely to be considered)
- City and Guilds Level 2 in either Maintenance or Engineering is desirable but not essential
- IOSH Qualification would be advantageous
