What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Oversee facilities engineering managers and teams
  • Provide standardization across the facility for maintenance processes
  • Develop standard reports and trackers for Engineering Change Notice (ECN) 
  • Develop, present and hold teams accountable for preventive maintenance strategies
  • Plan resource needs for the facility and track productivity of resources
  • Work with engineering and continuous improvement teams to develop automation solutions for manual processes
  • Ensure a smooth rollout of all new automation and equipment
  • Lead knowledge sharing and best practice sharing across sites
  • Communicate plans and vision to all levels of the organization
  • Work directly with vendors on equipment needs
  • Represent maintenance and facilities as needed in customer-facing presentations and meetings

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and get along with diverse personalities
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with the most widely known and emerging tools, technologies and social applications
