Inventory Controller

 Do you have a keen eye for detail and thrive in a dynamic warehouse setting?

We're looking for a skilled Inventory Controller to join our Nestlé Purina team at Hams Hall. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring seamless warehouse operations.

 

This is a permanent, full-time position working on a rotating shift pattern, covering the hours of 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Conduct inventory checks – Perform daily cycle counts and full stock audits to maintain accuracy
  • Resolve discrepancies – Investigate stock issues and collaborate with Inbound, Outbound, and Replenishment teams
  • Maintain system records – Ensure all inventory adjustments are accurately logged in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Monitor KPIs – Track stock accuracy metrics, identify trends, and suggest improvements
  • Support operations – Assist picking and replenishment teams to ensure product availability and reduce delays

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse operations is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
