Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a Shunter to join our team in Birmingham at our Nestle Purina site.

This is a full time, permanent role.

You will be working on a rota basis, any 5 days out of 7, including weekends. One week you will be on the early shift, 06:00- 14:00 the other week you will be working 14:00- 22:00 on the middle shift.

What you will do on a typical day:

 

  • Maintain the workflow of the site communicating with drivers, transport office and security hub
  • Reverse trailers onto bays, maintaining records of movements and trailers activity
  • Keep yard and traffic areas free flowing, clear and tidy in line with site standards
  • Operate tug in line with training ensuring safety process are followed on every occasion

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience of working as a shunter
  • Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
  • No more than 6 current penalty points
  • No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years
  • Previous experience driving category C+E vehicles is desirable
