HSEQ Manager

We’re looking for a HSEQ Manager to join our GXO Direct operation in Corby, supporting a multi‑user site and taking the lead on all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality activities. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone who thrives in operational environments, enjoys working with people, and can support continuous improvement across the site.
This is a full‑time, permanent position, working any 5 days out of 7 (37.5 hours per week).
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of £40,000 – £44,000, per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), a company pension scheme, and access to an employee discount platform covering retail, tech, travel and more. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Work with local management to drive improvements in Health & Safety, Environment and Quality, ensuring compliance with standards including ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
- Promote a strong HSEQ culture through coaching, engagement, toolbox talks and best‑practice sharing across all levels of the site
- Conduct and support incident investigations, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions and sharing lessons learned
- Develop, maintain and monitor safety management systems and action plans, using available data and reporting tools to track performance
- Provide expert HSEQ guidance, deliver training, support audits and ensure the site remains compliant with legislation, customer requirements and corporate policies
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 (working towards higher qualifications desirable)
- Experience managing HSEQ within a logistics, warehouse or industrial environment
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels
- Passion for improving safety and driving positive cultural change
- Ability to manage a varied workload, balance strategic and hands‑on tasks, and identify continuous improvement opportunities
