HR Administrator

Here at GXO, we are currently looking for an HR Administrator to join us at our site in Crewe. Based at the Crewe site and reporting to the Contract HR Advisor, the overall purpose of the role is to provide administrative HR support to both the Crewe and Wakefield sites, ensuring the smooth running of HR processes and maintaining accurate employee records across warehouse and transport operations.

 

This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 09:00 till 17:00, can be flexible with start & finish times

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Maintain and update employee records on the HR system, ensuring accuracy
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters, and onboarding documentation for warehouse operatives, drivers, and logistics support staff
  • Support the recruitment process by scheduling interviews and liaising with candidates and hiring managers
  • Assist with new starter inductions and right-to-work checks, ensuring compliance with logistics industry standards
  • Process changes to employee terms and conditions, including promotions, transfers, and leavers

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience in a similar capacity – with a generalist HR background preferred
  • Good use of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills/prioritise workload effectively
  • Either keen to start or in process of CIPD qualification
