Transport Team Manager

Here at GXO, we are recruiting for a Transport Team Manager to join us at our site in Crewe. As a Transport Team Manager, you will play an important part to ensure the efficient running of all transport functions while, making sure Health and Safety & Transport compliance is a top priority. 

 

This is a full time, permanent role, working hours of 4 on 4 off , 6am to 6pm

We’re looking to offer a salary of £38,000 per annum, and 26.5 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Manage the day-to-day running of transport operations across stores, outside storage and vendor operations.
  • Lead, motivate, and support drivers and transport office teams across your shift.
  • Deliver daily briefs and debriefs, ensuring clear communication and expectations.
  • Manage driver performance, compliance, and behaviours, escalating where required.
  • Ensure all incidents, delays, failures, and refusals are investigated and recorded.

 

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience working within a fast-paced transport environment, with confidence of managing drivers
  • Good understanding of transport regulations and compliance.
  • Effective communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPC license - Would be an advantage
