Here at GXO, we’re recruiting for a Transport Team Manager (Nights) to support our TJX operation in Crewe. This is a full‑time, permanent role working 4 on 4 off, 18:00 – 06:00, where you’ll lead a team of Coordinators and Drivers to deliver safe, compliant and high‑performing transport operations throughout the night.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Lead, motivate and support drivers and the transport office team to deliver strong shift performance
  • Be accountable for daily transport operations, including planning adjustments and route departures
  • Oversee compliance across WTD, EU Drivers’ Hours and tachograph regulations
  • Manage incidents, delays and customer updates, ensuring service levels are maintained
  • Promote a safety‑first culture, ensuring all vehicle, driver and site standards are met

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous leadership experience within transport, distribution or logistics
  • Excellent communication and people‑management skills
  • Strong understanding of transport compliance and operational processes
  • Highly organised with strong problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to work confidently in a high‑pressure, time‑sensitive environment
