Here at GXO, we are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team in Crewe supporting our partners on site, TJX (TKMaxx and Homesense)
GXO is seeking a talented and passionate individual for the position of Warehouse Team Leader to take responsibility for the efficient running of numerous warehouse functions, placing the highest regard on health & safety, colleague engagement, wellbeing, and their development, whilst meeting the operational KPI’s & Targets.
This is a full-time, permanent position working any 5 from 7 14:00 – 22:00 shift pattern, with some flexibility required.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of £31,200 per annum. In addition, we offer 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks including our GXO University portal.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be expected to plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements and customer priorities
- Communicate to shift / team on daily tasks, changes to working procedures, H&S, Audit etc
- Complete shift handovers accurately with oncoming / off going Team Leaders & Shift Manager
- Update your team on required targets / rates, and accuracy checks, providing training and feedback to colleagues, taking action on poor performance where required
- Overseeing the unloading of inbound freight and organising the pallet pick of goods going out
- Conduct HR related tasks such as Return to Works, Incident Reporting, Absence Management via T&A.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience in leading a team within a fast-paced operation of FMCG, from goods in, to despatch
- Experience of working to agreed targets and managing a small team
- Well-versed in warehouse management systems
- Good working knowledge of current health & safety and compliance legislation
