Department Manager

Here at GXO we are looking for a Department Manager to join our team in Crick. You will manage the operational requirements and have a commitment to leading a team of people towards excellence in the delivery of both customer and GXO goals.
This is a full-time, permanent position working any 5 days out of 7, covering the hours of 07:00 – 15:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £38,000 per annum, and 33 days annual leave (inclusive bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and drive the warehouse operation from the front ensuring compliance, performance, and the delivery of world-class service to our customer
- Drive communication, engagement and continuous improvement throughout the warehouse with a constant focus on reviewing and improving processes
- Manage the allocation of work daily, controlling headcount, downtime, performance management, overseeing shift briefs and handovers
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly performance reports
- Manage and develop your team of First Line Managers
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous management experience within a fast-paced logistics operation, e-Commerce exposure would be beneficial
- Good people management skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages
- The ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and customers
