Payroll Coordinator

We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join us at one of our biggest fashion retailer sites in Crick. In this role, you'll ensure all payroll policies, deadlines and compliance is adhered to, including the management of any direct links to payroll such as holiday management and absence management and to develop correct behaviours and cultures. This role is predominately payroll based but this role does also include HR Administration activities.
This is full time, permanent position. You will be working Monday 07:00 till 15:00, Tuesday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 17:00, however, a level of flexibility id required – this is logistics after all!

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Complete administration tasks related to payroll queries
- Use and maintain the time and attendance system in order to process the on-site weekly and monthly payroll within specified deadlines
- Be responsible for the coordination and record-keeping of absence and sickness and manage the absence hotline
- Set up employee files for new starters, ensure personnel files are accurate, audited, and archived in line with GDPR records
- Liaise with the central payroll department to ensure all payroll discrepancies are resolved and to provide timely feedback to colleagues as required.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Strong payroll administrative experience in a logistics or warehouse environment
- Good use of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills/prioritise workload effectively
- Takes ownership of processes and responsibility for own workload
- Payroll technician certified or working towards
