Administrative Assistant

Here at GXO, we’re recruiting multiple Administrators to join our team in Barrow.

 

You will be first point of contact to meet and greet all collecting/delivery HGV drivers, providing administrative support to the warehouse operation, ensuring all operational paperwork, transport documentation and SAP system transactions are completed accurately and on time, while supporting the shift management team and maintaining an efficient, compliant and safe operation.

 

You will be working on a full-timepermanent basis, on a 4 on,4 off shift (2 days / 2 nights), covering the hours of 06:00-18:00 / 18:00–06:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Process warehouse and transport paperwork
  • Create delivery notes and customer orders using SAP & EWN
  • Maintain reel loading and movement records
  • Complete goods in/out and outbound documentation
  • Support shift managers with day-to-day admin duties
  • Update SmartWays and other operational systems
  • Maintain audit-ready records and support customer, internal and external audits
  • Support adherence to Health & Safety, GDPR and quality management procedures.
  • Identify process improvements to reduce errors and improve efficiency.Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders, building strong relationships while carrying out additional tasks to support the operation

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience in warehouse administration or working with a Warehouse Management System, with confidence using IT systems including good Microsoft Office skills.
  • A reliable, flexible and self‑motivated approach, who displays attention to detail and the ability to organise workload and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Able to work at pace in a fast‑moving environment, problem‑solve confidently and contribute positively as part of a team
  • SAP experience would be desirable experience.
