Senior Warehouse Colleague

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Warehouse Colleague to join our team at Ikea in Dartford.

 

This is a full time, permanent role, and you will be working 40 hours per week, on a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off with the hours of 09:00 21:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Carry out training of new employees, and daily operational tasks
  • Assist and oversee van area procedure, ensuring all vans are completed by following the process and in a reasonable time manner
  • Aid and assist with Warehouse Operatives’ development and continuous improvement
  • Cover Supervisor’s duties during his absence
  • Adhere to all of GXO Health & Safety policies at all times
  • Physically demanding role which includes lifting and shifting of furniture 

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Counterbalance is essential and PPT license is desirable
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Expert in planning 12T and 3.5T vehicles’ process
  • Extensive experience in warehouse environment
  • Ability to work under pressure on your own initiative in a continually changing and demanding environment
