JOB DUTIES: Develop analytical experiments in a methodical manner and regularly evaluate alternate models to support strategic initiatives and ongoing business processes. Work with leads, analysts, and data producers/consumers to understand requirements and develop technical solutions, as well as ensure the reliability and performance of the data solutions. Develop solutions focused on data science and engineering using machine learning, deep learning algorithms, statistical concepts, data modeling, software development and visualizations. Troubleshoot technical issues in existing processes and current development work; solicit assistance from other roles and groups, and drive resolution to ensure the integrity of platform quality and project timelines. Understand and improve shared standard patterns, templates and artifacts for architecture, data science development approaches, data models and new technology adoption and rollout. Generalize and share technical approaches and best practices among other developers; simplify and communicate completed work to broader audiences across the company. Help support data consumers to ensure they have reliable access to trusted data. Eligible for telecommuting from home within reasonable commuting distance from Lebanon, IN. Will require physical presence at worksite in Lebanon, IN at least several days a week.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Object Orientated Analysis and Design, Data Management Systems or closely related degree and 3 years of experience as a Software Developer, Data & Analytics, Senior Data Engineer, Cloud BI Developer, Jr. Software Developer, Business Intelligence Developer, or related occupation in supply chain or a distribution envir.
Experience must include three (3) years of experience in all of the following:
1. Experience with statistical modeling, data analytics and visualization using R and Python (Numpy, Pandas, Scipy, Plotly and Matplotlib).
2. Technical database knowledge (Oracle, NoSQL, data modeling) and experience optimizing SQL queries on large data.
3. Writing SQL fluently, recognizing and correcting inefficient or error-prone SQL, and performing test-driven validation of SQL queries and their results.
Experience must include two (2) years of experience in all of the following:
4. Significant experience applying one or more of the following research methods: regression (preferably mixed models), data classification and reduction (cluster, factor, principal components, decision trees), Bayesian inference or other advanced machine learning techniques.
5. Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning or data mining concepts, and a track record of solving problems with these methods.
Experience must include one (1) year of experience in all of the following:
6. Delivering solutions in at least two of the following: data science, data research, geospatial, finance, econometrics, cloud computing or big data and database management.
SALARY: $79,206.00 – $101,599.68/Year
