As the Director, Product Management, you will be the responsible for defining and implementing products and features for our customers related to Blue Yonder Transportation Management and Carrier Management applications that are or may be integrated to multiple WMS systems. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead the development of the GXO Logistics’ Transportation Management and Carrier Management  product strategy and vision supported by internal and external analysis
  • Define product roadmaps based on team strategy, vision, and business requests
  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application
  • Handle prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and operational support load.
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Energize product/feature launches through working cross-functionally with executives, engineering, design, marketing and other product management team members
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
  • Understand and lead analyses of the competitive environment, customers, and product metrics to determine the right set of features to drive engagement and usage
  • Define and research metrics that inform the success of products
  • Local travel between distribution sites and offices branches; International travel may be required, expected travel to be less than 25%
  • Collaborate with sales team to ensure product is effectively positioned and marketed to potential customers.
  • Engage with implementation teams to prioritize, manage risks, and ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 7+ years of experience designing supply chain software products, with 5 years management experience
  • 3 years of experience supporting and developing Transportation Management and Carrier Management systems
  • Experience documenting business requirements in one or multiple project delivery methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, etc.)

It’d be great if you also have:

  • MBA or master’s degree in Computer Science or similar Engineering degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar Engineering degree
  • Proven track record of building and handling high performing product management teams
  • Deep understanding and experience with consumer growth tactics
  • Ability to balance strong bias for action with deep experience driving product alignment across multiple stakeholders
  • Proven experience delivering high growth results in a consumer product role
  • Passion for building innovative products that solve user needs through deep understanding of the customer
  • Understand user needs, respond to tight deadlines, and deliver products that drive key business metrics
  • Solid analytical, problem solving, and quantitative skills with data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Ability to influence team members across all departments and levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, comfortable presenting to other executives
  • Knowledge of transportation management systems, including features like route optimization, carrier selection, shipment tracking, and freight settlement.
  • Understanding of cloud based technologies including SaaS delivery models, APIs, and system integrations.
