Operations Manager

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our ASOS contract based in Doncaster. You will manage the operational requirements and processes of the intake and outbound stock movements for the FC within the ASOS network of 3rd party suppliers and contracts. With a commitment to quality leadership of a team of people and a strong bias for action to ensure delivery of both client and GXO goals.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will be working Tuesday to Saturday on rotational shifts 05:45 till 14:15 and 13:45 till 22:15.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Manage the movement of stock physically as well as systemically to maintain accurate stock files
  • Ensure all direct activities have a relevant standard operating procedure and actively pursue the elimination of waste through the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • Work with appropriate parties to provide solutions to team issues taking account of the appropriate policies and ethical practice
  • Mentoring and reporting on budget and exceptions reporting, including presenting the site P&L to the customer
  • Develop and maintain appropriate daily, weekly and monthly reporting mechanisms to monitor, control and improve performance

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Strong experience in a similar role, within a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to RP systems
  • Ability to lead and foster a positive working environment
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
